Establishing a Good Contact Lens Fit at EYEcenter Optometric
It starts with a thorough eye exam. Our eye doctor, our team of eye doctors, will examine your eyes thoroughly and rule out any pre-existing conditions that could interfere with contact lens wear.
Once that's been done, if everything looks good, then it’s time for your contact lens consultation and fitting!
Fitting lenses to your lifestyle
We will determine the best fitting lens based on your lifestyle needs and the shape and health of your eyes. Contact lens fittings include:
- Measurement of corneal curvature
- Measurement of Iris and pupil size
- Evaluation of your tear film
Once we have all the relevant measurements, our team of eye doctors will give you a trial pair of lenses to try on. our team of eye doctors will use a slit lamp test to check the fit, and if they’re comfortable, you can wear them home.
Follow-up appointments
Our Citrus Heights team will follow up after the initial fitting and make any necessary changes in fit or materials to get you the best possible result.
We’ll make sure that your eyes and vision are remaining healthy, ensure that you have been able to successfully keep up with cleaning and storage of your contacts, and check to see that the lenses are still comfortable and fit you properly.
After this, we’ll continue with long-term follow-up with periodic appointments to monitor the condition of the lenses and to ensure that proper hygiene is being maintained.
